In Memory of Judith Hamilton
Theatre 17 honours the memory of Judith Hamilton as a founding member of Theatre 17. She played an integral role in presenting performing arts in the Dryden area. She came to Dryden as an English and Drama teacher at the Dryden High School. She influenced countless students to love theatre and the performing arts.
Judith was one of the original members of Theatre 17 in the 1980’s and when there was interest in resurrecting community theatre she stepped up and became an integral member of the new group. She was also a member of Dryden Entertainment Series.
Judith directed many productions including our first play in 2006 “Quilters” followed by many successful productions, notably “Steel Magnolias” and “Calendar Girls”. Her last production with Theatre in the spring of 2023 was “Clue”
Judith will be missed by all who knew her especially the arts community.
